Our rural cabin set in the heart of the Blackdown Hills
We invite you in to our beautifully renovated two detached bedroom Cabin set within the heart of the Blackdown Hills AONB near the village of Churchinford. Complete with all your home comforts, family and pet friendly, surrounded by fields and animals its truly a relaxing and peaceful environment.
The Cabin
The Cabin is open, light & spacious with an open plan kitchen, dining & living area.
The master bedroom offers flexible accommodation and can be made up with either =two single beds or with one generous super king size bed.
The second bedroom which also has a small workspace with desk & chair, is furnished with a double bed.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, over, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine.
There is a generous dining table and corner sofa, TV with Freeview and patio doors and windows offering extensive views of the hills.
Outdoor there is a fully enclosed garden offering safety for pets and children alike. The patio is spacious and elevated, giving you a wonderful view of the sunrise in the mornings; then down a few steps there is a grassed area with one of our oldest plum trees offering shade on warm days.
There are outdoor sofas, and a fire pit with a grill or BBQ's, there is a start pack of firelighters, kindling and logs provided, further packs can be purchased for £4 per bag.
There is also a washing line and pegs for your convenience.
Bedroom 1
Bedroom 1 is our Master Bedroom and can either be set up s a generous Super king size bed or as two single beds. Both set up options offer plenty of room to fit a travel cot if required.
The room gives ample storage space with shelves, drawers and a wardrobe along with an occasional chair.
You can also find outdoor access to a private small patio area.
Bedroom 2
Bedroom 2 offers guests a double bed and also sports room to fit a travel cot if required.
The room too has a chest of drawers and an open wardrobe.
In addition, there is also a work space complete with a small desk and stool.
Outside
With direct access from the living room patio doors, the patio boasts some simply stunning sunrises. There is a large patio with outdoor furniture so you relax and and enjoy our bountiful views of the Blackdown Hills.
There is a wood and/or coal fired BBQ which can also be used as a fire pit. We supply a starter net of kindling, firelighters and logs and more can be purchased upon request.
Beyond the patio are stone steps down to a lawned area with a bench under the plum tree.
The patio is fenced offering privacy and security and the garden is secured with stock fencing wrapped in chicken wire to keep little ones and our four legged guests secure.
In the paddock beyond the garden you will see the resident pony, along with our chickens and ducks which will happily come today hello!
About Amy & Her Family
Hi, my name is Amy and I live in Hunters Barn, which lies adjacent to The Cabin and shares a driveway.
My husband and I share our home with our young family and very spoilt pets!
We moved to Hunters Barn in August 2022, and immediately set to work renovating The Cabin. Having small children in tow, it was November 2022 before we were ready to welcome our first guests!
